Accessibility Statement

Accessibility is not just what we do for our clients — it is how we hold ourselves accountable. At A11yTesters, we believe digital access is a human right, and we are committed to ensuring that our own website meets the same standards we help others achieve.

This statement explains the standard we conform to, how we evaluate our site, the limitations we are aware of, and how to reach us if you experience a barrier.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They have several levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA.

A11yTesters.com is conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Conformant” means the content fully meets the standard. Where any content falls short of full conformance, it is described in the Known limitations section below.

Standards and frameworks we align with

As an accessibility testing provider, we align our own site with the same standards and legal frameworks we evaluate for our clients:

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA — our primary technical standard.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — accessibility expectations for digital experiences in the United States.
  • Section 508 — U.S. federal accessibility requirements.
  • EN 301 549 — the European accessibility standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act.

How we evaluate accessibility

Consistent with how we work with clients, we assess our own website using a combination of methods rather than relying on automated tools alone:

  • Manual expert testing by accessibility specialists against WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria.
  • Automated testing to catch common, machine-detectable issues at scale.
  • Assistive technology testing, including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.

Accessibility is evaluated as part of our ongoing design and content process, not only at launch.

Measures we take

To support accessibility across our site, we:

  • Build with semantic, structured HTML so content is conveyed correctly to assistive technologies.
  • Provide meaningful text alternatives for informative images and graphics.
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements.
  • Ensure the site is fully operable by keyboard.
  • Provide visible focus indicators and a “skip to content” mechanism.
  • Label forms, buttons, and interactive components clearly.
  • Design responsive layouts that support zoom and a range of devices.

Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and common assistive technologies, including modern screen readers. It is not designed to support browsers more than two major versions old.

Known limitations

Even as accessibility specialists, we hold ourselves to honesty over perfection. Despite our efforts, some content may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Known areas include:

  • Third-party content. Embedded elements provided by external services — such as videos, social media feeds, or scheduling widgets — may not fully conform, as they are not entirely within our control. Where possible, we provide accessible alternatives.
  • Recently published content. Newly added pages or media are reviewed promptly, but there may be a short window before remediation is complete.

If you encounter an issue not listed here, please tell us — we treat real-world feedback as a core part of testing.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of A11yTesters.com. If you encounter a barrier, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us:

To help us respond quickly, please include the page URL, a description of the problem, and the browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to resolve confirmed issues as promptly as we reasonably can.

Ongoing commitment

Accessibility is a continuous process. As we add features, publish content, and improve the site, we continue to test against WCAG 2.2 AA so that A11yTesters.com remains a working example of the inclusive standards we advocate for.
